Project Idea/ Plan
My idea for my final project is to do a stop animation movie similar to the one that was shown in class last week. I'm planning on doing drawings and erasing and redrawing the image as I go; I really liked the way this looked. As for my story/ narrative idea, I was thinking about showing a girl dive off a diving board into a pool, and then showing what she sees under the water. Instead of it just being the bottom of the pool however, it would be like she jumped into the ocean, with fish and coral and things like that. I don't know what I would do about audio yet, but i will probably record some sound effects and use them.
I think this week at the least I will start to get the drawings going and figuring out a step by step plan that the animation will go by and putting a story board with some sketches together. I actually might try to get the pictures for the animations done this weekend because i think i will have more time than I will next weekend. That would leave audio and final editing for the last week.

3 Ideas for Final Project
1. Continuation of 1st project-- Studying and recording something commonplace for a period of time. I would like my final project to do have something to do with advertising and it's effect on us. For example, I may record how many advertisements I come into contact with in one day. I would record the type of advertisement and possibly how effective each advertisement was.
Experiment-- Right now, sitting in my chair, i can see at least 53 advertisements around me without leaving my chair-they are on on my stickie notes, my pens, my computer screen, my mail, my posters, my toiletries, my clothes, ect. Need to think of a creative way to show the info.
2. Comic strip/ stop animation with drawings. Narrative like the first project, only longer/ more complex.
Experiment/ Example--telling my day through drawings, or possibly drawing out an old childhood memory, telling how it how I remember it and then asking other people present how they remember it and also portraying their versions. Maybe using the four seasons as a starting point for telling the story.
3. Something with a puppet show, using puppets to act out some type of narrative, possibly exploring simultaneity.
